The Microtech Ultratech stands as one of the brand’s most iconic and popular models, widely regarded as setting a benchmark for out-the-front knives. As Microtech’s original double-action OTF, it has served as the foundational platform for their entire OTF series. Through continuous modifications over the years, the Ultratech has become increasingly efficient and reliable. A key design feature is that the internal spring remains in an “at rest” state except during deployment or retraction, preventing spring fatigue and ensuring effective firing performance. The Ultratech is known for its lightweight construction, effortless one-handed open and close action, slim profile, and impressively sharp blade.
This particular model is a brand new Zero Blade Play (ZBP) version, incorporating the new drivetrain and Crud Kutter for enhanced performance. It features contoured black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle scales, marked with the distinct Microtech Claw logo on the front. The blade is a Stonewash finished M390MK stainless steel tanto edge with a part serrated cutting edge. It includes bead blast finished hardware, a new reversible pocket clip, lanyard hole, and glass breaker.
