This purpose-built knife is designed for high-performance in tactical applications. It features a 4.25-inch Tanto blade, a blade shape known for its strength and piercing ability. The blade is crafted from high-performance CPM M4 tool steel, a steel celebrated for its exceptional wear resistance and toughness, and is heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness of 59-61. With a substantial blade thickness of 0.1875 inches, the Darter T Shadow is built for durability. The primary cutting edge is plain, but a distinctive and functional feature is the presence of aggressive reverse serrations on the spine of the blade, providing an additional cutting surface. The blade is finished with a black KG Gunkote, a durable coating that offers excellent corrosion resistance and a non-reflective tactical look. The handle is constructed from textured Shadow Black G10, often with a red liner accent, providing a secure and comfortable grip in various conditions, with a length of 4.25 inches. With an overall length of 8.5 inches and weighing a lightweight 5.3 ounces, the Darter T Shadow is a capable yet portable fixed blade.
