The blade is crafted from CPM 3V tool steel, a material celebrated for its exceptional toughness and edge retention, heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness of 58-60. With a blade thickness of 0.187 inches, the Kingpin maintains durability while remaining remarkably lightweight. The blade is finished with a black KG Gunkote (often referred to as Socom Black), a highly durable coating that provides corrosion resistance and a non-reflective tactical appearance.
